About WCF

WCF — is a global active federation of cat clubs. It was founded on August 20, 1988 in Petropolis near Rio de Janeiro / Brazil.
WCF is registered as an international federation in the German registration court. The current president is Annelise Hackmann in Essen.
Currently 280 associations worldwide are WCF members.
WCF has already successfully participated in legislative procedures, including in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the development of animal welfare legislation, and shares responsibility for the development of animal welfare legislation through working groups and parliamentary hearings.
In general, the WCF serves to enable affiliated cat clubs to establish international contacts.
Our WCF members – regardless of whether they are individual clubs or federations – are independent in their activities.

WCF EMS CODE

The WCF EMS CODE is a system of identification codes used by the World Federation of Cat Federations (WCF) to classify cats according to their breeds, colors and coloring.
